Curve Guide
Go Second
Going second is better for this deck.
Use Are You That Afraid of the New Era?!! and Lime Juice to look at the top of your deck and collect Red-Haired Pirates cards. This early setup improves your next draws and helps you find the characters needed for the rest of the curve.
Play Lucky.Roux to check the top 3 cards for another Red-Haired Pirates card. Keep it on the field as a 5k-power body, and sacrifice it during an opponent's attack when resting their Leader or a Character is more valuable than keeping it in play.
Play Yasopp to draw 1 card and rest an opposing Character with a cost of 8 or less. At the end of your turn, his effect can ready a Red-Haired Pirates Character, letting you keep an attacker or defensive body available while continuing to develop your board.
Spend 7 DON!! on Benn.Beckman and use his Rush to attack a Character immediately. On play, draw 1 card and rest up to 2 opposing Characters, creating a strong tempo swing while leaving 1 DON!! available for the Leader effect.
Play Shanks with Rush to attack immediately, then set up to 2 DON!! cards as active and rest all opposing Characters. This is the deck's biggest swing turn: it clears the opponent's board while restoring resources for your follow-up.
Go First
Play Lime Juice to look at the top 3 cards and add a Red-Haired Pirates card to your hand. Going first, this is a low-cost way to improve your hand before the larger turns begin.
Use Lime Juice to search again, then attack with your Leader. If an opposing Character is already rested, Shanks can trash a card from your hand or rest 1 DON!! to keep it from becoming active on the opponent's next Refresh Phase.
Play Yasopp to draw 1 card and rest an opposing Character with a cost of 8 or less. His end-of-turn effect readies a Red-Haired Pirates Character, so the board remains useful on the opponent's turn.
Play Benn.Beckman for 7 DON!! to draw 1 card and rest up to 2 opposing Characters. Because he has Rush, he can also attack a Character immediately, making this the main pressure and control turn when going first.
Big Bodies
The perfect alternative when you don't need a full board wipe. He easily pops a single massive rested threat. Fully searchable and vital for tight late-game scenarios where 10 DON!! is too slow.

Deck Overview
Rest your opponent's Characters with your Mid-Game drops, attack into them to clean the board, and then use your Leader ability to completely freeze anything left standing so it won't wake up next turn!
- Oppressive board control: Starves the opponent of resources.
- Massive consistency: Runs 8-12 searchers (Lucky Roux, Limejuice, Perona).
- Punishes Aggro: Easily picks off low-cost rested threats.
- Resource intensive: Leader ability requires trashing a card or resting a DON!!.
- Awkward early game: The 3-DON!! turn is weak when going first.
- Struggles against Big Bodies: Weak to decks dropping 10+ cost un-restable threats.
- Leader Shanks: The control anchor. Trashes a card or rests a DON!! to freeze characters.
- 7c Benn Beckman: The MVP. A 9k Rush body that rests two characters and draws a card.
- 10c & 9c Shanks: The sweepers. 10c rests the entire board; 9c provides heavy spot removal.
Shanks OP17 is a proactive control deck that uses searchers, midgame freeze tools, and oversized finisher turns to choke the opponent out of clean lines.
